Chef Jonathan Kenny began his passion for food as a child growing up in the Southeast. Seeing his grandmother prepare Southern fare, such as homemade biscuits, fried chicken, and slow-cooked greens with pork, was a daily joy. His mother, an accomplished cook herself, further ingrained a love for food and a respect for its ingredients.
Chef Jonathan began his culinary career as a kitchen manager in a New Orleans-style cafe in Greensboro, N.C., preparing Cajun/Creole dishes. Later, he moved on to apprentice for two cutting-edge chefs in Raleigh, N.C. After over 12 years of restaurant experience, Chef Jonathan joined the American Personal Chef's Association (APCA) and launched his own company -- Comfort Cuisine.
To provide the freshest ingredients, Chef Jonathan's menus change seasonally, and range anywhere from Asian and Mediterranean flavors to the wholesome, hearty meals from the Southeast and Mexico. He also offers menus specific for fitness programs, food allergy-sensitive individuals, special diets (diabetic, Weight Watchers, Atkins, etc.), and heart-healthy (low-sodium, low-cholesterol). He works with clients individually, tailoring menus to their likes, dislikes, needs, and desires.
